Way back at the beginning of the pandemic, Zibby Owens collected essays in a digital quarantine magazine called “We Found Time”. I wrote a piece about how an ex-boyfriend introduced me to running. That essay and tons of others are now collected in a book called Moms Don’t Have Time To—with all profits going to Covid-19 research. And there will be a virtual event to talk about it! Join us at Book People in Austin on February 23 at 7 pm CT/8pm ET. Details on my events page!
Thank you to Zibby Owens of Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books with Zibby Owens for such a sweet pre-Valentine’s Day book event at Dylans Candy Bar. I had so much fun hanging out with Gigi Levangie and the other authors and bloggers.
Yesterday I did my two final author events of 2019. Thank you to Hadassah and Columbia for inviting me to speak and welcoming me so wonderfully yesterday morning and evening. I’ll be working on another revision of Everything After until early February, and then will be on tour for the More Than Words paperback, starting February 4! 2020 tour schedule to come soon!
I had such a wonderful day at the Books and Brunch event supporting the Assistance League of Chicagoland West, which helps supply winter clothes, food, and more to community members in need. Loved getting to meet and listen to Mary Kubica and Eileen Meyer, and to see some familiar faces from Andersons Bookshop, who were selling books at the event. Thank you to all 500 (!!) people who came.
Thank you to the UJA for inviting me to speak about writing and storytelling and community yesterday. I had such a wonderful time.
I had so much fun visiting my niece’s kindergarten class. We read stories, talked about books, and wrote one about pirates and some missing treasure. And then my niece and I got to sit in a book igloo!
Thank you to the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library for having me and thank you to everyone who came! I enjoyed speaking with you all and signing copies of my books!
Thank you to photographer Peter Wine (mediamoments.com) for taking photos at my book event at the Washington-Centerville Library in Ohio as part of the Cultural Arts & Book Fest. (Before the event, a little Sparkle Spa fan found me and wanted to talk nail polish and favorite colors.)
Where will you be on Saturday, September 24th? I’ll be at the Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival signing books with a ton of other writers.
