A New Book Series Called The Sparkle Spa!

Hey there. So I promised I’d come back when I knew more about my Simon & Schuster books, and I do! So I’m back! The series is going to be called The Sparkle Spa, and the first one is actually going to be published next Winter/Spring instead of in the Fall, so that the first TWO books can be published at the same time! It’ll feel like a series right from the start, which makes me very happy. And it means I’m going to be writing, writing, writing as fast as I can these next few months.

Four New Books!

Hello everyone. I hope you’ve all had great summers and are enjoying your first weeks back at school. September has been a very exciting month for me so far, because I found out I’m going to get to write four new books! They’re about two sisters who love sparkles, nail polish, chocolate chip cookies, and most of all each other. Simon & Schuster is going to publish them, and the first one will be out next Fall! Once there’s a title—for the series and for the books—I’ll come back and let you know!

School Visit Photos

Happy New Year! As usual, time has been flying by here. I’ve done a few school visits this past month, and one of the teachers just sent me some photos, so I figured I’d share them with all of you. Here’s a sneak peek at what it looks like when I talk with elementary schoolers—and when we brainstorm a mystery together.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everybody! I can’t believe how fast the fall semester flew by! I was flying all over myself, talking about writing from New York to Montana to Seattle and back again. I also answered some questions about sequels on the Tollbooth blog in November for an interview that the wonderful author Michelle Knudsen conducted on the topic. September News

Hello and welcome back to school! I’m incredibly excited this month because The Nina, The Pinta and the Vanishing Treasure got nominated for an award—the 2012 Young Hoosier Book Award, to be exact! Three cheers for all the Young Hoosiers—and their teachers and librarians—in Indiana! Also, if you’re reading this page while in Indiana and want me to come visit your school or library, please email me so we can set something up!
